Our hosting, authentication, and database providers may process basic technical information such as your IP address, browser, device type, access time, and security events. We use this information to operate, protect, and improve BuildFitment.

3. How we use information

• Provide accounts, profiles, garages, saved builds, and notifications.
• Publish approved community builds and help users compare fitment setups.
• Review submissions, respond to reports, and enforce community rules.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and technical problems.
• Improve vehicle data, recommendations, and website usability.

4. Public content

Approved builds, profile names and photos, vehicle details, comments, and owner notes may be visible publicly. Do not upload personal details or images you do not want others to see. Garage data and saved items are handled according to the visibility offered by the website.

5. When information is shared

We use service providers, including Supabase and our website host, to operate authentication, storage, databases, and delivery. They process information for these services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the website, or as part of a future business transfer. BuildFitment does not sell your personal information.

6. Photos and uploaded content

Uploaded photos may contain metadata or visible details such as license plates, locations, or people. Review images before submitting them. You must have permission to upload and publish the content you provide.

7. Retention and security

We retain information while it is needed to provide BuildFitment, maintain moderation records, meet legal obligations, and protect the community. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices

You can update available profile information and manage saved content through your account. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Some records may be retained where required for security, moderation, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.

9. Children

BuildFitment is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Policy changes

We may update this policy as BuildFitment grows. The effective date at the top will show when the latest version took effect.
